We were honored to be invited to the birthday celebration of one of our dearest IG Friends,
@Maisondepawz. As the maker of handcrafted human grade dog treats, we knew the food would be amazing, and looking at the roster of guests it was sure to be a good time!
With pooches from
Hazel Bear to
Simba to
Chloe Kardoggian in attendance, we knew the perfect present was a must! Before heading to the park for the party, Holly and I made a pit stop at swanky dog boutique
Canine Styles to pick out a gift. We settled on a "Please Return to Sniffany & Co." plush bone in Tiffany blue, which Holly loved until she discovered she didn't get to keep it.

"What do you mean, this toy isn't for me???" |
We arrived at Sheep Meadow in Central Park (actually, just outside, since dogs aren't allowed in the meadow and it follows that neither are dog birthday parties) and met up immediately with Hazel and her dad Eric. Hazel and Holly sniffed out the rest of the party, where Tyler's mom had a layout that not only included her yummy homemade treats, but also pupcakes from Sprinkle's bakery and an array of meats, cheeses, and bread for the humans to nosh on (Holly might have helped herself to a bit from that tray as well). Chloe Kardoggian and Simba were already there, and the group was ready to party!

We loved spending the afternoon snacking, snapping photos, and chatting with some of our Insta-friends. #Tylersbig8 was a smashing success, and we got to take home some delish treats as a favor!
Next up we were off to the Carl Schurz Park "Halloween Howl," an annual event benefitting the Park Conservancy that has a costume contest and "Healthy Dog Fair" with samples of treats, toys, and information from local pet businesses.

Almost time for Holly-ween! Better hurry up this walk! |
Holly and I attended
last year, and even though we loved our poodle skirts, we knew we had to step up our game to compete this year! We asked all of you to help us choose our costume, and the winner was:
Carrie Brad-paw in "Spayed and the City!"
Holly and I both felt super pretty in our outfits, and we were the talk of the town in our matching tutus! After signing up for the small dog competition we decided to spend some time wandering the fair and checking out the booths (and the competition).
There were people and pups galore at the booths, and we were posing for photos, sampling treats, and making new Insta-pals. Bidawee was on hand with adoptable pooches, and we met a gorgeous foster named Layla looking for her fur-ever home.

Layla is looking for love in NYC! |
Before we knew it, it was time to line up for the small dog competition, and as always, the pups really turned it out! There was even a "Sarah Jessica Barker" in our category, modeling a pink tutu!
Even though we didn't win, we had a pawsome time at this year's Halloween Howl! It's a great way to support the neighborhood and have fun with your pooch. What could be better than that?
Until Next Time, Darlings!
